The Green Street Arts Center (51 Green Street, Middletown) provides
evening classes for adults and youth, and weekday classes for families who
home school. This Saturday, January 20 from 12-4, families are invited to
attend Free Art Day for a day of fun arts classes and demonstrations
including: Belly Dancing, Ballet, Sound Recording, African Drumming,
Visual Art and more.
We also have a "Sunday Salon" talk, called Recycled Art and Grocery Store
Science, on Sunday January 21 at 2pm. Admission is $5.

New class offerings this spring include:
MUSIC ALIVE!: TIGER SESSION
(Birth–5)
Instructor: Gwen Pond
Thursdays 10–11am (Pond)
10-week Thursday session: February 1–April 5
Music Alive! (using The Music Class curriculum) gives children and their
caregivers a chance to experience music using a variety of rhythms and
styles. Participants enjoy music together through singing, dancing and
playing percussion instruments. Class is designed for 1 caregiver/1 child
pairs.
Tuition: $135 (Tuition includes book, cd or tape)
BALLET I
(Ages 7-9)
Instructor: Rachel Leigh Roccoberton
Thursdays 11am–12pm
Session 1 (6 weeks): February 8–March 15
Session 2 (6 weeks): April 12–May 17 A class for those with no or little
prior dance experience. Students are introduced to the structure of a
ballet class, acquiring the basics of ballet movement and vocabulary. They
will work on coordination, spatial awareness and memory of steps.
Tuition for session 1 or 2: $70; for sessions 1 and 2: $120
