My name is Joanna Wilson and I am the Group Sales and Community Relations Manager at Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, CT. I wanted to let the homeschoolers of CT know that we have many upcoming field trip and family theatre experiences to offer! In December, we are offering a production of Black Nativity which is a re-invisioning of the story of the birth of Jesus, as told through the poetry of Langston Hughes. Next year, we have two Kids on the Wharf performances: The Very Hungry Caterpillar in March and Rip Van Winkle in April. We are also offering a family subscription that includes Black Nativity, a new play by local playwright Donald Marguilies called Shipwrecked!in Feb and March, and an adaptation of the musical Carousel by Rogers and Hammerstein in May.
