A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY for Homeschooled children across CT to share
their creative artistic talent with the public while giving back to
the community.
CREATIONS FROM THE HANDS AND MINDS OF CHILDREN: AN ART GALA
DATE: Saturday, February 16, 2008
PLACE: Levi Coe Library; Middlefield, CT
TIME: 5-8pm
MISSION: To provide homeschooled children the opportunity (1) to
present their art work to the community; (2) to learn to critique
their own work by determining the worth of their art work within the
given parameters; and (3) to give back to the community through the
donation of art work to benefit a local non-profit organization.
An added benefit is the money raised allows the Levi Coe Library to
purchase additional materials for the children & young adult
departments of the library.
PARTICIPANTS: Open to all CT homeschoolers - aged 1-18.
ARTWORK: Can be any medium a child chooses - the only limitation is
their imagination - including but not limited to paints(acrylics,
oils, watercolor, finger); drawings; sculpture, origami; fiber art;
sewing; sculpey, etc. The gala is a family event so please keep this
in mind as your children create their masterpieces. All artwork is
subject to Regenia Allen & Candy Hayden (Mueller) approval.
Regenia Allen and Candy Hayden (Mueller) are the organizers for this
event. If you desire to participate, please contact Candy at themuellers@mac.com to register your child
