A few days ago, I posted ten field trip ideas for Connecticut.  Well, before you pack your backpack with snacks & water and rush the kids out the door to go on a great educational field trip, you might want to check with your local library to see if they have passes or discounts available for the particular place your family will visit.  

   For example, at our city's library, you can get passes for Free admission to the following locations:  Beardsley Zoo, CT Children's Museum of Southeastern CT, Discovery Museum & Planetarium, Lutz Children Museum, The New England Carousel Museum, Peabody Museum, Mattatuck Museum, New Britain Museum of Art and Wadsworth Athenum Museum.  Our library also offers passes for discounted admissions to: Mystic Aquarium, Science  Center of CT/ Roaring Brook Nature Center and the Mark Twain House.

   Our family has saved over $60 in the last month by taking advantage of some of the Free Admission passes!

Hello everyone!  I am finally ready to make a list of what I consider are the top 10 field trips locations within Connecticut.  I am sure that there are more wonderful places to visit in this state than I am listing here in this post, I will be adding to this list over time.  I have visited eight of these places, and have had good recommendations for the other two.  I will be adding field trip reviews of some of the places we have visited recently in the next few weeks, so keep checking!
