Ruth Beechick-style daily plan by homeschool mom of 4

Posted in Our Homeschool

We do all of our hs in one setting when my youngest (ds 2) is asleep to keep me from pulling my hair out.
Math:

Miquon 7yo
Singapore Earlybird 5yo, 3yo
Game once a week

LA: (SL LA 1, K) Dictation or grammar exercised on
Dictation 7yo, 5yo Explode the Code 7yo
Get Read, Set, Go for the Code 5yo
Writing 7yo, 5yo, 3yo (Hand Writing Without Tears)
Spelling 7yo (once she spells them all right she is done for the week)
Reading 7yo
Creative Writing 7yo once a week
Game once a week

Bible (SL Core K, 1)
Reading
Memorization

Read-Aloud (SL Core 1, Pre-K) Reading

History (SL Core 1, Mystery of History)
Reading
World History Activity 2-3 times a week

Science (SL Core 1)
Reading
Experiment once a week

SL=Sonlight curriculum
Takes us 2-2.5 hours a day to complete everything, but it helps to have everything laid out for you already. I do some prep work over the weekends because I like to be familiar with things before I teach them and the weekly items need to be scheduled out. Oh and it was my 3yo’s choice to do school this year not mine! I think it would have been much easier to wait a year, but she refused to be left out.
