The Cowgirl Entrepreneur

Hi! I am a homeschooling teen! I live in Maine and have wonderful people around me. As you can most likely tell from my title I am one happy cowgirl! I don't have my own horses but I live just a short distance from a large horse farm. Other then horses and all that goes along with them, I like/enjoy: Skating, painting and art, writing books, storytelling, playing music, daydreaming, and working (keeping busy!) I have so many things that I like! God has blessed me richly and I want to, in turn, bless others. One of my highest goals is to start a successful business writing, producing, illustrating, and selling books of all kinds! But for now I am content working on the little things that I can make and sell!!! This blog will also be used for little devotionals that I would like to share. I want to be as the wise virgins and as the good and faithful servants in Matthew 25. I want to be like Esther and Ruth. I want to be like Mary and sit at Jesus' feet. So join me! Let's make this journey together! Happy reading! One Happy Cowgirl

New devotional!

I am SO sorry for taking so long!  I will try to do better on the posting devotionals!

Okay! Today's devotional is on efforts.

'Men judge us by the success of our efforts. God looks at the efforts themselves.' Charlotte Brontë (1816-1855)

People may look at the success of an effort of yours or mine but they are not responsible for you or me...Each of us are responsible for ourselves, for our motives, for our thoughts, for our attitudes.

Romans 14:12 says, 'So then everyone of us shall give an account of himself to God.' It doesn't say that you will be giving a detailed account of your brother, or vise versa! It says that WE are responsible for OURSELVES!

Many people think that they need to try to get envolved in other peoples lives to change the way they live. Why? They are not responsible for others!

I am NOT saying that we should ignore others all together. No, not at all! I am saying that we need to remove the plank from our own eye before attempting at the speck in our brothers.

It doesn't matter if your efforts fail. God looks at your motives, your heart. We need to be greatful for everything given to us. Even through though times. God has a reason for everything!

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, 'In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.'

I hope this little devotional has helped you in some small way. Feel free to leave me a comment or send me a message if you preffer!

One Happy Cowgirl

Thank you for posting that. I have actually been thinking about that quite a bit recently -- that we are responsible for our own actions. I even wrote out a post about it a few days ago (I have not yet posted it). God is so merciful!

RYC:
Thank you, I just got my new template up and running last evening. :) I'm so happy about it.
About 4-H, I will probably enjoy photography, crafts-basket, and crafts-cross-stitch the most. I really enjoy photography!
What projects will you be doing in 4-H?

May God Bless,
Emily Rose
