Don't try this at home!

FEAR FACTOR Meets WHILE YOU WERE OUT!
**WARNING! DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!**

Sorry about the tummy showing but I just had to post this picture. This is how I successfully (by that I mean I didn't break my legs or neck!) painted the wall next to the stair banister without a ladder. My husband, who is afraid of heights (after falling from a cliff and almost dying many years ago), could not bring himself to watch me do this, so my son had to take the picture. I stood on the banister (which is a bit wobbly), with paint brush in hand and literally fell toward the wall, using the other hand to support my weight...then I painted the top corners to get a straight line. When I was done, or needed more paint, I thrust my weight backwards with supporting hand and fell back onto the ladder, sitting next to the bannister. It was a bit scary but it worked!

Gas prices could plummet to $1.15 gallon?? This is an encouraging article, especially after paying $3.00 for gas in the last few months. Why is it that an incident such as an impending hurricane, mid-east war, etc, can make the gas prices rise in a few hours but news of it dropping takes weeks to see at the pumps?

Oh my! I have jumped from a plane at 3500 feet and there is no way I could have done what you did. My brush would have been shaking so much my line would have been crooked. Thanks for sharing your renovation. You are doing a great job and I love the colors you picked!

I enjoyed the pictures of your renovations! When you get done you can come do mine :-) (We have a bilevel, and I have been wanting to repaint, but there is no way for me to reach the top of that entry way, .. I won't be trying your stunt for sure! )

There is NO WAY I could have done that. I am very height intolerant! My DH does this kinda stuff, but get this...he'll do a maneuver like this, but wouldn't get out of the car when we visited the Grand Canyon. Love the periwinkle and sage green combo...what a cute idea to do the door a different color. DD's room is next on our project list and it's truly a blank slate. I do wish you lived close to me! I'll have to read the 1.15 gas article. I'd love to see it there. We have been holding off hauling our camper on a trip because of gas prices, maybe we'll finally get to go somewhere!
