Your floor looks great. When we first moved to Minnesota, my husband and I talked for several hours about buying a beautiful Victorian home that was in dire need of TLC. We decided we didn't have the time, talent or treasures to invest in the property. I look at your home and have house envy. Beautiful!
My husband stripped our dining room floor when we moved earlier this year, but couldn't remove the dark spots that he figured must have come from dog urine. He worked so hard and tried many different things. He ended up using a dark, Colonial stain but the urine stains are still there. When all was said and done, though, it didn't look too bad since it kind of adds to the antiquity of the room. But, how did you manage to eliminate the spots altogether?

You guys should really be proud--you have done fantastic work! I love doing projects like that and have always wanted to restore an historic home. We're always working on our present home, which is newer--to make it look old! LOL
By the way, I am deathly afraid of heights and falling, so I was sweating bullets just looking at that picture of you! I see why your hubby had to turn away-- Yikes!
Have a great week.

I'm with Lady Mother though. Better you than me. I need a house ready for me to move in too. And my mil/step mother to pick out paint colors and tell me where to hang the pictures. ROFL
That looks great! We are thinking of doing that to our floors. Our house is almost 100yrs old and the wood floors are covered with carpet (old and worn) and they're not finished. I hope we can do this soon! Praise God you got yours done! Stop by sometime!

Sincerely,
Wow! I'm impressed! We tried to restore the wood floors in our home, but ended up scratching them badly with the sander! What a shame! You guys are doing a great job on the house, I love the pics! :o) Brandi
