How sweet of you . . . thank you for awarding this to me. I know I've said it before - but I really like your template, it's just so pretty. I'll be changing my template soon - I still haven't finished it yet. I think it will be prettier, yet more plain. :) I'm so excited about it!
I would like to learn how to play the violin (I know it's not the same as the cello). It is such a pretty instrument! But right now I am content with my acoustic guitar, which also makes beautiful music.
Yes, I *loved* the part where Edmund smashed the ice! That was perfect; sort of his "payback" for all the things that the White Witch did to him. I didn't like the rest of the scene too well, though. The hag & werewolf were just disturbing! :-S
The whole romance was a bit cheesy. I didn't know whether to laugh or to frown when she said "No you might need to call me"!
Yes, it is sad that Peter & Susan don't come back to Narnia. :( But I think that it was their time; they couldn't stay there forever. Edmund & Lucy *do* look extremely different. I hardly recognized them! They were my favorite characters (besides Reepicheep & Aslan) though.
I did see "the Geeky Guy" on the credits! How hilarious!
I think I know exactly what you mean about all those sixteenth notes and confusing rhythms! Except I don't have a deadline on any of my music like that. Hmmm, maybe it's a good think I'm not in a orchestra. LOL. It would be good for me.
Here I am accepting this award...after a week...and I have not even commented. The next award I will get will be the Bad Blogger Award!
Have a Great Day!
Maggie
Congratulations on your awards! I came by for a visit since I saw you leave a comment on "Passion for Purple's" blog. Your name caught my eye as I am a crocheter, too! I love to crochet and have been since I was 4. I love your background as I'm also very into music and play the piano. Plus - my middle name is Renee! How weird is that? Anyway, had to stop by and say "Hi" from one crocheter to another. Are you on Ravelry? I have a place there where I show my stuff. It's fun!
Thanks for letting me know which awards I have yet to post about. I've fallen so behind it's ridiculous!
We miss y'all too! I think the weirdest thing about the distance between us and our family and friends is the time change. It's so strange knowing that y'all are about to have lunch when we only had breakfast a couple hours ago! One nice thing is that I've been too tired to not get in bed by 10 p.m. and I keep getting up before 7 a.m. (which is nice 'cause the sun is already way up).
Anyhoo, I'll be sending a letter your way soon so keep an eye out! :-)
It was great to see you at the concert and EZs too! I love the tradition of going out to dinner afterwards!
I am so proud of Emily! She really does deserve the Zachary Broadway award! Did you see I went up on stage crying? Kind of awkward, especially because I don't normally cry when I'm happy!
You did amazingly on the page turning! I didn't do so well on the clarinet part. Well, I did fine, but the keyboard was so loud and I couldn't turn it down!! Aaaaaah! It was disappointing. But I'm glad you thought it was OK.
Oh, yes, voice problems come and go. I think everyone struggles somewhat. Especially during voice changes!
Yes, I cannot wear burnt orange. I guess it has to do with my fair complexion.
Hello, my fellow citizens of earth, I come in peace. My name is Renee and I am from the planet "Shizzlebackermier" don't ask, for I don't know. I am a homeschooled, Christian girl whose dream is to be a missionary. I hope you have a wonderful time viewing my blog... Over and out. You have just read the "Ramblings On" of Renee from the planet Shizzlebackermier. (please understand this is 50% fiction, please use your own wits to figure out which half is the real half, and which is not. ;-)
Do you wanna' link to me? Would you like the code? Your wish is my command! Just click on one of the three images and... voila!
These Are A Few Of My Favorite Quotes...
Only the truly strong and great can be truly tender. Tenderness is a mark of nobility, not of weakness.
James Phillip
Christ uncrowned himself to crown us, and put off his robes to put on our rags, and came down from heaven to keep us out of hell. He fasted forty days that he might feast us to all eternity; he came from heave to earth that he might send us from earth to heaven.
W. Dyer
Jesus Christ did not say, "Go into the world and tell the world that it is quite right.
C.S. Lewis
If God forgives us, we must forgive others. Otherwise it is almost like setting up ourselves as a higher tribunal than him.
C.S. Lewis
We ought to give thanks for all fortune: if it is good, because it is good, if bad, because it works in us patience, humility and the contempt of this world and the hope of our eternal country.
C.S. Lewis
