Get Your Own Quiz!, More Quizzes Philo Dough and Fabric![]() I love picking out fabric's for my nighties, because I can pick out some wild print that I would never wear in public, but it doesn't matter on a nighty. :-) My summer nighty this year was pink with green frogs, (I loved it!) and now my mom just finished my winter nighty, which is a dark blue with sea creatures on it. And on both of them, I've put a gigantic button, because I love gigantic buttons. :-) Go over to Alison's blog to see how NANOWRIMO is going for her! SeasonsWe don't really have changing of the seasons in the desert, at least not where I live. This tree outside my mom's window is so pretty. The picture does not really capture the deep burnt orange color.
NaNoWriMo Day 21Just in case any of you thought I'd given up somewhere between Day 6 and Day 21... well, I haven't!Word Count? 41,217! To my dismay, I discovered that the word counter on Google Docs and the word counter on the NaNoWriMo website do not agree. And Google Docs, what I have been using, is the one with the higher count. So I'm not really sure which one's right, but it doesn't really matter, since it's only the NaNo counter one that guarantees winning status at the end of the month. The writing is going super. I've written quite a bit today, mostly thanks to Bluejane -- the two of us have done several word wars. I did my first word war last night, and it's absolutely amazing!! Now I'm just feeling kinda disappointed that I was into the end of week 3 before I discovered them! I don't get tired out like I do just grinding away on my own. Thanks, Blue! (She and I sorta have this competition going on over who can hit 50,000 words first. It shall be interesting to watch it unfold.) Okay, I said the writing is going super. It is, but it is not going perfectly, lest you get that idea. I have several scenes that I think are pretty much pointless. But at least they are there, helping fill that progress bar. I can tell I'm getting close to the end of my novel, but I'm not sure how close. And I'm not exactly sure how it's going to end, either. Hey, if you're a fellow Wrimo struggling with your word count, let me give you a quick hint. Write a scene telling the gospel in great detail. It accomplishes two things. First, anyone who reads your novel will hear how to be saved. And second, It really does wonders on your word count. I wrote a 1,609 word scene with the gospel as the central focus (not like it was all telling about Jesus, but mostly). And of course, word wars do wonders, too. Throw in a character with a broken heart who can go on for a long time telling all her troubles. Have someone get kidnapped, betrayed, whatever. ![]() Just a few things I've learned this month. Oh, and go congratulate Narniagirl -- she reached her goal of 25k last night!!! *throws confetti and sets off fireworks* DeskHi guys. How are you? Man, I had the hell of a day. (did that make sense?) So I'm just sitting here listening to my iPod. The song I'm listening to is ''It's a hard knocked life" by Annie, you know the movie? For some reason, it makes me feel like I've gone back in time, lol. Doesn't that sound weird? Anyway, I woke up at 8.30am this morning, and I couldn't come on here to see if I had any comments or go on FB to see if anyone was on, because my mum came in and told me that her and dad are going to spend the day in my room. I'm like ''Huh?'' Then, I remembered, my desk came in so they were going to do it so I got out and went on my mum's computer. The net was so slow that it ticked me off! Ugh!! They did for 10 hours without a break. *sighs*. I would have a few breaks if I was working and building stuff. So it made me a bit annoyed after they finished it because they wanted to joke around but I wasn't in the mood for it. Tomorrow, I'm going to my cousins' house so I'll talk to y'all when I can. -westlifefan14 sorry, please bear with meHi guys.Sorry I can't reply to your comments because the net is soo slow and I'm really ticked off so please give me time to reply to your comments, please. They will get replied, I promise!!!!! ![]() -westlifefan14 TodayWe had a very very very fun day at the park today. Beside my sisters and I there were 10 other children from our home-school group. We played tennis, store, house, tag, hide and seek, and more tag. :-) And then all of us went to the library, where I got 6 of the Redwall Series, by Brian Jacques. They are all about 1 and a half inches thick so they'll last me a little while. :-) We didn't get any pictures that I know of though... :-p if I had brought my camera, I'd probably have about 200 pictures. :-) Then we came home, and Alison gave her violin student a lesson, (and during that we played more tag with her brother) and then we watched some of the Leave It To Beaver show, on YouTube. Someone has done a great job of sorting all the episodes and so we've watched tons of them! Now we're waiting for my 3 sisters and Dad to get home so we can have pizza! I think I hear them now so I'd better go. I know this was a boring post, but I just felt like posting. :-)LaptopHi guys. What's up? Not much for me, just on my mum's laptop. LOL! -westlifefan14 OUCHBrandon and I made it to WA after a 4 hour plane delay. Sigh.. For those who don't know, about a week ago my mom fell and broke her ankle. She had surgery on Monday. They put in some hardware and she is not to put any weight on it at all for many many weeks. She is wheelchair bound for now. Brandon and I came up to help take care of her and the house. She is doing much better than last week. Emma meets aoifeTrue Friends
Chapter 1 – Emma meets a friend
One Saturday afternoon, it was summertime in United States of America. Twelve year old girl, Emma sat in the back in her parents’ car with her three year old sister, Madeleine. They were driving to Brooklyn, New York from Los Angeles, California. It takes three days to drive to New York. Emma was getting fed up because she was bored and tired. For the past three days, her parents would wake her and her sister up at 6.00am, and set for the day of driving. Emma, at first, thought it was very exciting to go to New York to live and drive through the states but after the second day, she was getting enough of it. Madeleine, her sister was cranky all the time and threw tantrums all the time. Emma looked at Madeleine who was fast asleep. Good, thought Emma. I’m glad she’s asleep. I needed a break from her tantrums. “Mom, when we get to Brooklyn, can I have McDonald’s for dinner?” Mrs Flora turned around and looked at Emma’s messy face. Emma’s long brown hair was in a messy tie, her clothes was wrinkled, her mom didn’t have time to wash her clothes when they were moving, so she put all her clothes and Madeleine’s in the knapsack. “Sure, I was thinking you and Mad can have it while your father and I can have Chinese.” Emma’s face brightened, “Thanks Mom!”
Two hours later, they got into Manhattan. Emma was shocked at the lights of the scenery. I’m so happy we’re living here. I can go into Manhattan anytime I want. But of course, I have to find out how long does it take to walk to Manhattan from Brooklyn. She thought. It’s my first time here so I don’t know everything about New York. Madeleine woke up and looked out the window. "Oh how awesome." she said excitedly. Emma smiled. She stared at the window of the streets filled with people shopping, eating in cafes, texting while walking and seeing people talking. Emma was in awe.
Fifteen minutes later, they reached to their new house. They got out of their car. Emma got out and gave a stretch. Ick, never gonna be in the car for three days again. It’s so tiring, especially with a sister who throws tantrums all the time. She thought. Just then, a girl walked up to Emma. She looked about Emma’s age, had strawberry blonde hair and green eyes. She also had freckles on her nose. “Hi!” said the girl. Emma, just then, felt very shy. “H-h-h-hi” she managed to get out.
“I’m Aoife,” the girl replied. “Emma.” She said smiling. “I love that name! It’s so popular in Ireland.” Emma stared at her, “Ireland? Is it?” Aoife stared back, “Girl, don’t you know anything. Back in Ireland, it is popular, Aoife is an Irish name So I was born in Ireland but moved here last year. I’d say New York is better than Ballinteer.” “Ballinteer?” Emma asked. “Where’s that?” “South suburb of Dublin. Dublin is the capital city of Ireland, so uh, enough of it. So do you want help unloading stuff in your new room?” Emma smiled, “That’d be good!” Both girls pulled stuff out of Emma’s car and went to her room. They chatted about lots of things which they had heaps in common. They both love reading, writing, shopping, hates Twilight and their favourite animals are dogs, cats and dolphins. Their dream holiday was Australia and New Zealand. After about two hours later, Emma and Aoife sat down outside, the air was sticky and hot. “So, when do you want to hang out?” asked Emma. “Tomorrow, if you guys are not busy and I can show you some photos of Ireland. "Err ... " Emma gave a thought. The only country she's been to is Mexico so Ireland must be different from Mexico. "Sure!"
"Great." Aoife smiled. That's Chapter one - chapter two will be written up in a week

James Phillip Christ uncrowned himself to crown us, and put off his robes to put on our rags, and came down from heaven to keep us out of hell. He fasted forty days that he might feast us to all eternity; he came from heave to earth that he might send us from earth to heaven. W.
