Tis The Season!

To catch a cold!! All 4 of my kids and myself have a nasty chest cold. My house is wrecked, school is abandoned for another week and the laundry is piling up. Still the best job in the world! Hope everyone else is healthy! =0)

Sorry your family is sick! We will be praying for a quick recovery. If we lived closer I'd come give you a hand!

Sorry to hear that several of you are sickly. Got any chicken soup handy?

Tuesday, October 28, 2008 - A Poem for You

Posted by momofsix
This is one of my favorite poems that I just found today. Perhaps, God put it in my hands for you. I hope it doesn't take up too much long to share, but I am sure it will put a smile on your face. So here is the thought of a warm cup of Apple Cinnamon tea and a warm mommy poem:

Excuse This House

Some houses try to hide the fact
That children shelter there,
Ours boasts of it quite openly,
The signs are everywhere!
For smears are on the windows,
Little smudges on the door.
I should apologize I guess
For toys strewn on the floor.
But I sat down with the children
And we played and laughed and read,
And if the door bell doesn't shine
Their eyes will shine instead!
For when at times I'm freed to choose
The one job or the other
I want to be a home-maker
But first I'll be a Mother!

Anon.

Did you like it? I sometimes copy it several times and post it every where after having recovered from those life interruptions of sickness or such.

Sorry you are all sick - will pray for your healing.

Your hot cocoa recipe sounds delish. I never would have thought of using the blender.

Here's an egg idea: Ever made burritos using scrambled eggs, refried beans, cheese and salsa, perhaps olives (we love olives). Add some fruit on the side. Good for any meal, really. Makes me miss getting a breakfast burrito on my way to work from Del Taco or Naugles (ever heard of these mexican fast food places?) I don't even know if they exist anymore, since I've been here in OR for 17 years. Anyway, these were the places I went to when I was growing up in So. Cal. (Pardon my trip down Memory Lane!)

Take care of yourself and get some rest, if you can.
