I may not be posting on a daily basis anymore. Probably every other day only. During my time off I have learned (God has brought me to a new understanding) a few things about being a better keeper of the home, being a godly wife and a better example for my girls to learn by. God has used two things to teach me these valuable lessons, one being His Word and the other being the family series "The Walton's". One evening during my nightly reading of the Bible, I prayed that God would reveal to me how to be a better helpmeet for my husband? At the time I was reading in the book of Eccl. and I cannot specifically remember reading any verses in that Book on being a godly wife, but it came to me as clear as a bell. I heard very clearly and loud a voice speaking to me, "If I were to come into your house, how would you serve me? Serve your husband as if you were serving me while I am sitting in your home." I have no doubt as to who I was hearing. I spent the rest of the night pondering over how I already serve my husband and how I can better serve him like I would Jesus. One of the ways that I can is by spending less time on the computer and more time doing things during the day that I know will please him and have everything ready in comfort waiting for him when he gets home from a long hard day at work. The next lesson was by watching The Walton's with my girls. Studying what made Olivia Walton a good wife and mother. From there I desired most of all to be that kind of wife and mother to my husband and girls. And part of being that is by spending less time on the computer and more time with my family. When my girls grow up and have families of their own, I want them to be able to look back and have memories of me spending time with them, teaching them, and laughing together. I do not want them to remember that MOM was always on the computer, and never took the time for them. So if you do not see any posts for a couple of days at a time, know that I am off having fun with my girls and being a wife. In Him, Cysco ![]() |
