How do you show your husband that you appreciate him?
For myself, I show that I appreciate him, (other than by making sure he has a clean house and a hot meal waiting for him when he gets home from a long day at work) by singing to him. There is one song in particular that I sing to him that he says he feels it makes him feel adored and loved. The song is called "When You Say Nothing At All," by Toby Kieth.
Here are the lyrics:
It's amazing how you can speak right to my heart Without saying a word you can light up the dark Try as it may I could never explain What I hear when you don't say a thing
Chorus:
The smile on your face Let's me know that you need There is a truth in your eyes Saying you'll never leave me The touch of your hand Says you'll catch me whenever I fall You say it best When you say nothing at all
All day long I can hear people talking out loud But when you hold me near You drown out the crowd Poor Mr. Webster could never define What's being said between your heart and mine
Chorus:
The smile on your face Let's me know that you need me There is a truth in your eyes Saying you'll never leave me The touch of your hand Says you'll catch me whenever I fall You say it best When you say nothing at all
Repeat Chorus
So now that one of my little secrets is out, come and share how you show your husband that you appreciate him.

That is a beautiful song! I just love it. I have heard it a couple of times and really liked it. What a blessing to your husband that you sing to him! I like to sing a couple of lines from a very old song..."You're still the one that can scratch my itch!...You're still the one I want whispering in my ear!" It's fun to sing, isn't it?!

married right now, but I hope to be able to have the house clean, dinner made, and everything the way he wants it when he comes home. I want him to feel like it is his place of refuge from the troubles that the world will cause him. When he comes home I want him to be able to drop his cares at the door.
Thanks for posting about this. I am sure that someone needed this.
How are you? Hope you are having a GREAT weekend!

Isn't that by Martina McBride? (I think) I love that song anyway and sing it too. My husband and I share his business ideas. He feels appreciated when he can bounce new ideas off of me and I will offer an unemotional, logical opinion of them. He says it makes him feel like I truly am a helpmate. I love the fact that he trusts me with those ideas.

Martina McBride may have sang it, but Toby Keith is the original composer of that song, he wrote it and put the music to it.
