One thing that I enjoy reading in other blog's is what curriculum they use. I thought I would share:
I have used all A Beka up until this year. On Tuesday, I teach at a HS (homeschool) enrichment ministry www.timothyministry.org I have been teaching there for 5 years now. This is where my girls have been getting their Science and History from, along with other fun classes. One of the main reason we go to Timothy is the dance program they offer. Both girls have been dancing since they were 3. The dance ministry is called : For His Glory. It is a Christ centered program with out a major expense of local dance company. The girls are invited to join the Ministry Team at the age of 10. We have two more years to go. Scottlyn prays that when she is 10 she will be invited if it is God's will.
This year I made a leap and brought Science and History home. I have tried to do something that would go along with their classes at home, but nothing ever stick's. A good friend of mine introduce me to MFW. I fell in loved with it! Eurka, it is so simple and the girls are getting so much out of it. It a keeper!
The classical concept has always appealed to me. Most of all the girls enjoy the timeline's and note booking. This helps them but together what we are reading and get a better understanding. I am trying to put this in my sidebar? This blogging thing is going to be an adventure and an education
