Cleaned up at Gramps
We had a great day at my parents house today. Tyler,Lynsey and I went up to do some raking, baking and Tyler put a drain in Dad's driveway. He had to chip through 6 inches of tar before we could use the posthole digger. We went down about 3 feet then put a drain pipe surrounded by crushed rock into the hole. Dad put a drain cover on top of that and it looks real good. He may have to get some quick cement to put around the edge to seal in back up. We'll see.
Debbie and I helped Tyler with the digger, we didn't want to have Dad getting hurt doing that. He wasn't to impressed with that but I think down deep he was glad we did it. After that we picked up all the piles of leaves and sticks he had raked already. Tyler used the power broom on the front lawn to get all the leaves and dirt off that. Then he had Ty get up and take down this cable that was screwed to the side of the house, right up to the peak. Little did dad know but Tyler is scared to death of heights. He did it though with no complaints. He is a good boy!!
Dennis and Kyle went in search of a truck today and I guess they found one. They are going back to finish the deal on Monday afternoon so we will see how that turns out.
Oh yes we also cooked some bread while we were at Nana's today, and I made homemade pizza. On the way up Tyler stopped at a delicious bakery and got some honey glazed donuts for his Nana. He knows she likes them and sometimes Grampie gives her donuts away! Not today though! Enjoy them Nana, Tyler loves you.
Well spring has arrived, manure spreading is in full swing. In the last 3 days the boys have spread 120 loads of manure. Each load is 4300 gallons of liquid manure. That is alot!!!
Well I guess that is all for now. I am supposed to start taking pictures Monday to start showing you what we are doing so be watching for that. Monday we are classifiying our Holsteins so I guess I will start with that. Will write more later, I am exhausted and must go to bed.
