Proud of my boys
Thats right you heard me, I am very proud of my boys! Last night they all went down to visit Eben in the hospital where he has to stay while he is getting his chemo treatments. That is about 1and 1/2 hours away so it isn't just next door. Tyler had to get up this morning at 2:15 after just getting in at 11:30. That was a short night for him but he said he was very glad they went. During the summer when Eben's sister Chelsea is home she has them down once a week for "Red Cup Night". That just means that when they get together they use those Solo red plastic cups. It is the boys responsibility to bring the beverages so last night they stopped and got Eben's favorite drinks, Moxie and Mt. Dew, to take down and also some red cups to share it with him. I know my boys weren't drinking the Moxie. If you have never had it, it tastes like cough syrup, dirt, and carbonated whatever. It is nasty. If anything is going to cure that cancer it will be the Moxie!! The boys said he looked really bad when they got there but after a few stories and much laughter and game playing(Apples to Apples) his color was much better. Kyle said they got a few looks from other people there but wasn't sure if they were mad that they were having such a good time or that they were not participating in the fun. What a blessing it is to see the tender thoughtful side of my tough rugged boys. They want to go once a week till he has to go to Boston for his bone marrow transplant. Keep Eben in your prayers, he has a long, long road ahead of him.
