Hey all,
Checking in from the pox zone. Here's the latest.

In the news ….
and just plain feels good.
-
J still has not broken out!
-
My niece and a cousin who were with us the weekend Z broke out both came down with the pox this week.
-
Two different friends needed to get the pox and came over to play. Both families have since broken out with the pox.
-
It’s day 22, for cryin’ out loud! Let's get this done already!

Sadie only woke up once last night. The past few nights have been long and hard with fevers and itching. She talks in her sleep when she gets a fever, and coupled with itching I heard some pretty funny stuff. (And yes, when I discovered her usually 101 degree chicken pox fever had climbed to 103, I gave meds to bring it down).
3 AM conversation:
Me: “Baby, where does it itch?”
S: “Back here in the movies.” Pointing to her back. “The dogs are barking and I have to go.”
On meds/herbs and comfort
I started my poxy ones on a buffered vitamin C. Buffered so it doesn’t raise the bodies ph. This is to not only to boost the body’s defenses, but help with the itching from the inside out. The bummer is I didn’t start it until yesterday. I wish I knew about it sooner. I've also ordered some aloe vera capsules (to take by mouth). Aloe Vera is known to aid in the building of collagen, and prevent scarring.
Fashion for the poxy

Daddy's soft undershirts are key to keeping comfortable. They don't pull at the pox and are loose and baggy.
Little Miss thought they needed a little jazzying with stickers and a necklace.
What to do, When doing is tough

I found these cool Crayola paint brush + paint , all in one numbers. Though they each have their own set of water colors and brushes, these little brush pens were a fun distraction on an itchy day.
That's it for today's update.
