Interpretation

Posted in Preschool Stuff

While the house was still quiet and the sun barely up, I attempt to have some quiet moments to think and pray. Little Miss (4), heaves up to the table her mighty box of crayons and paper and climbs up next to me.

 “Look Mom, I made Jesus.”

“Wow. He’s purple and orange.”

 And pink. See.”

 Of course, pink.

 A few minutes later ….

“Mom, I drew opposites.”

“Show me.”

Pointing to the lines on the page…..

“Large, big, large, big, large, big, large, big.”

Pointing to the next set of lines …

“And see these. Small, tiny, small, tiny, small, tiny, small, tiny”

“Nice. That was very creative.

We’ll be working on that.

Paint me proud

Posted in Preschool Stuff

We do a lot of watercolor painting around here. It’s easy to clean up in the case of spillage. I love my daughters sense of color when she paints. She will sit down and cover an entire piece of paper with colors. She will start to paint a color, exclaim "No, wait", rinse her brush and reach for another color she deems better. All I know is she’s 3! And I am .... old enough, and I don’t see color the way she does. Don’t get me wrong... I am not saying she is some prodigy child, I wouldn’t say that....

out loud.
