Do the Next Thing

BOTALOT

This was the vanity license plate of my deceased father's Cadillac Escalade.  How telling and sad to advertise himself in this way, and take his own life due to being overextended financially.

Dad was a pastor who led many to the Lord, yet his life ended in such an empty way.  It's too much to comprehend at this point, so I'm leaning on the Lord and trusting him for healing.

I did find some old family photos in three boxes in his garage.  These three boxes contained his former life I guess.  His grandchildren, his children, his extended family, birthday cards, Father's day cards, etc. etc.

Too sad....

Oh that is so sad, Dana. I think my mom is very similar to your dad. She could have the same licence plate. Its very sad to see parents, who were once cornerstones of their churches, just fall to pieces. Its especially sad at a time in their life when they should be clinging to Jesus more. I don't understand it, but I know that my hubby and I have talked about it a lot and how we hope and pray we don't go the same way when we hit our golden years.

Hope you're having a blessed and relaxing weekend.
