This Colorado mom tagged me, so here goes. I'll try not mention the things I mentioned the last time I was tagged. Let's see if I can do it without looking at my former list of eight random things about me.
1. I LOVE to cook. You'd know that if you read my blog. My grandmother owned a restaurant, acutally a small cafe, and I spent lots of time there. My grandmother and my mom were/are both fabulous cooks, and they've always encouraged me to jump in and help.
2. I have mild scoliosis and never knew it until this year. I see a chiropractor twice a week and so far have had less back pain, and have felt much more relaxed since receiving this treatment. This chiro is also a PT, and has a full-time massage therapist in the practice. So, everytime I get adjusted I also get a 10 minute chair massage. Can you say, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh?"
3. We moved many times when I was a child, between the ages of 10 and 14 we moved from OK to TN to TX, to CA and then landed in VA. It took it's toll on my education and I never felt like I caught up. Emotionally, it was also difficult. Therefore, we've lived in the same house for 17 years. I wanted consistency for my kids.
4. I have two dear friends with the same name as mine.
5. I love to garden and trade perrenials with friends. I can walk around my garden and tell you stories behind most of the plants and trees I have from friends or have recieved as gifts on special occasions.
6. My favorite author is Francine Rivers, and I'm currently reading Leota's Garden.
7. I like to crochet, but I'm self-taught so it taken me awhile to learn how to read patterns. I'm currently making some cranberry and blue granny squares which will become an afghan (some day).
8. I can hardly stay up past 10 pm. This is strange because I used to be a real nightowl. No longer can I keep my eyes open very late. Forget about starting a movie after 8:30pm..... I just can't do it.
That's it, and I have to go. I'll tag some others when I get back from running errands.
