Do the Next Thing

For the depressed

If you or anyone you know suffers from depression, please listen to the sermon preached Sunday  at our church.  What a testimony of God's mercy poured out on this same pastor I refered to in my last post.  Again, and again, we're amazed at just how humble and accountable our pastors are to their church family, each other, and ultimately to God.  We're so blessed.

I'm downloading this to my ipod, so I'll have access to listen anytime.  It's the message dated 4-13-08

I know my hubby subscribes to your church's podcast (and had the amazing experience this past week at the Together for the Gospel conference in Louisville -- and to hear CJ!) so he'll be listening to it!

Wishing we had a Sovereign Grace church by us!!

Blessings, Julie

Apr. 22, 2008 - Pastors' College

Posted by HomeintheMitten
Yes, my dh has looked at the Pastors' College and considered it, but since we don't have a SG church here and he's been through both Bible college and Vineyard Leadership Institute (our denomination is the Vineyard and this was a graduate level 2 year program), he's just eager to start pastoring. However, there have been so many closed doors for us, it's beginning to be discouraging for both of us. My daughter and I just finished our Perspectives class last night (http://www.perspectives.org) and I wonder, "What now, Lord?" If the Lord lays it on your heart, please pray for clear direction for us and wisdom (and lots of grace, patience and hope for me -- I feel heavy hearted today). Thank you!!

Blessings, Julie

Thanks for dropping by and saying hi! I still have that Grace cookbook, too! What a funny connection.

I hope your daughter's memory book turns out wonderful - I'm sure it will with all the love you're putting into it. Can you believe you're at the point where your youngest is graduating?!

About Me

I'm been married to a great guy for 27 years and have had the privilege of homeschooling two of my three kids. Our youngest is a senior. I love managing my home, and the creativity God has given me in all the tasks which come with this job. I have waaaay too many interests and hobbies, thus my web title. I serve a Lord who helps me discern the next thing to do, and I want to glorify Him in all I do.
