Thursday, March 30, 2006 - Prayer Requests and Updates
Here are some prayer request updates, as well as a few new ones that have been brought to my attention. Please keep these in prayer...
Emily did not have her scan done the other day, but instead will be having it done on Friday. Please keep her and her family in prayer. You can read more about it on her mom, Crystal's blog.
Candace is at home and doing better, but had a setback from the drugs (resulting in the chills and vomiting). Please keep her in prayer for a complete recovery as well as blood tests to come back positively. You can read more about it on her blog, as well as prayer requests for other children on "Suffering Children".
Ethan is doing well after surgery. Pray that his recovery continues to go well.
Leah was diagnoised with large abdominal tumor. You can read more about her current status at a blog set up for her.
Christi has been fighting cancer for years. You can read more about her at her blog as well.
The family of Ashleigh as they go through the horrible loss of their daughter.
The Craig family is still not together. Please pray for the judge's decision in their behalf to be soon.
Jackson Bortz is still not home with his family. Please pray for them to be reunited as well.
The Gravelles have lost custody of their 11 children and they will be adopted out to other parents. Please read more about it on "iluvtheland's blog". This is absolutely heart wrenching. Keep them all in your prayers.
Thanks so much for praying. May God heal these bodies, and mend these hurting hearts.
Not hopeless, but not looking good. The parents and the Family Defense Network of Ohio are filing an appeal. The only thing we can do is donate money to the defense fund...it will cost in excess of $10,000 to even begin this appeal. Also, if anyone knows of a court transcriber who would be willing to donate time to making transcripts of the original proceedings, that would be a godsend. The thoughts are that the county is making it near impossible for them to get the records they need to proceed with the appeal. I believe I heard $7500 for the records if not more.
Pray for these dear children. They were just beginning to feel part of a family that loved them and set boundaries. They are regressing to their former behaviors and acting out terribly in their new foster homes.
I'll have another update on my site later today if possible from a family friend of the Gravelles.
Pray is the best thing of all, of course. I can't imagine helping children no one else wanted to take on, falling in love with them, and then having them wrenched away from me.
Thanks, Amy, for helping to keep this case in front of other Christian parents.

Thanks for dropping by and asking how I was doing. I posted a little update as well as a *gasp* picture. LOL!! I hope you are doing better yourself. Now I am off to read up on the CHCH challenge!!
and a woman seeking the Lord's Will (daily), a wife (striving to keep the romance alive), a "Smamma" (Step- mother) of one and a homeschooling mom of seven (I was never going to have children), who starts every day over (after messing SOME thing up the day before), knowing God's grace is overflowing (just like my laundry), and so thankful He's blessed me more than I'll ever deserve.
