• Friday, July 29, 2005 - TAG FREE ZONE...

I had someone write to me with the idea of a "Tag Free Zone" and I just LOVE the idea!  I wish I could point you to her blog... but she signed in anynonomously so I can't give her credit... (thank you, whoever you are!)  I decided to put it on my site, and I hope you'll read my "Seeds of Inspiration" section to see how and why it started.  I think tagging can be a great way to get to know each other... I just hate to think of us wasting our time, instead of sharing and encouraging each other through our blogs (not that some of the tags haven't done that).

If you'd like to have the link to explain the "TAG FREE ZONE" in your blog, then follow these steps:
  1. Post an entry to let people know you're blog is becoming "TAG FREE"
  2. click on the following link "TAG FREE ZONE" to take you to my blog
  3. copy the entire link at the top (the http address)
  4. hightlight "TAG FREE ZONE" in your entry and hit the little globe and link picture on the top right of your entry (inbetween the paint can and picture of a tree)
  5. paste the http address in the blank
  6. Preview your entry to make sure that it worked.  If not, please email me and I'll try to help.
I will also continue adding more thought provoking "writing starters" for those who would like to use them in their blogs, under "Seeds of Inspiration".  Be sure to post a response when you do so those who visit can go to your blog!  Blessings to you and yours.

In Him,
Amy

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this.

Blogging can be a time waster. It's good to think about why we are writing, what we are writing. It's so important to be balanced,
Donna

BTW...In reference to your Inspirations....I asked over on the forums if anyone was doing a daily blog theme....I haven't seen that gena has done them recently. Not that I expect her to have time for that. Wonder if they might want YOU to do it! Like have a box on the home page to the site???

I appreciate the Tag Free Info.. but I wonder why you seem to be "tagging" others with ads for the Clean Hearts Clean Home image and link to your site by posting it as a comment that doesn't relate to the original post on other blogs?

Thank you for your question. Since you wrote to me as "anonymous", I can't respond to you through email to discuss your "issue". I hope that you will be back to read this at some point in time so you can better understand the reason behind my actions.

My decision to be a "tag free zone" was because there were many tags going on in the beginning of HSB. We were all trying to get to know one another, and while it was a great idea and some of them really were great tags, I found myself unable to keep up with the amount of tags I was getting and felt bad for not responding. I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings by not answering one of their tags, and so I declared DANDELION SEEDS a "tag free zone". Because I don't oppose the idea of tags, I also added "Seeds of Inspiration" for those who enjoy tags or need ideas to blog about.

As for your comment on The Clean Heart, Clean Home Challenge... My intent in spreading the word by leaving comments to those on my friends list, was for us as homeschoolers to pull together to better our homes and hearts and encourage each other. I only sent to those on my friends list, and feel bad that I offended you in doing so (assuming you were one that got the comment on your blog).

I apologize if I upset you, and if you have a "Clean Heart, Clean Home Challenge" comment on your blog, please feel free to delete it. It certainly was not my intention to upset anyone.

I hope that I've addressed your comment and concern. If not, I would be more than happy to discuss this further through email.

Blessings to you,
Amy

and a woman seeking the Lord's Will (daily), a wife (striving to keep the romance alive), a "Smamma" (Step- mother) of one and a homeschooling mom of seven (I was never going to have children), who starts every day over (after messing SOME thing up the day before), knowing God's grace is overflowing (just like my laundry), and so thankful He's blessed me more than I'll ever deserve.
