We have one bathroom in our home, but thankfully, we have a toilet down in the laundry room for those emergencies for the little ones! I actually did my bathroom last week, since we had the showing for our house. I have to still touch up paint, and I have frames that have needed pictures in there for over a year, so I hope to get that done (finally).
One thing about the bathroom (or mine at least) is that every day (or night) I take and wipe the toilet down. That helps to keep in clean (especially with 4 males in the house!... the smallest one is potty trained yet!). The tub is kept pretty clean as well, with the kids having "scrubbies" they clean the tub with when they're taking a bath. I don't use any cleaners or anything... just the suds from their bath and it really never gets that dirty. Then once a month, I take to it with some germicidal. Same goes for the sink... whoever is last brushing their teeth, has to clean the sink (this helps in making sure that everyone wants to brush their teeth first thing!).
The drawers are something that you may not think of often, but it's so nice when they're all cleaned out. What does your make-up drawer look like? What does your make-up and brushes look like for that matter? Clean the outside so it's not all dirty (Yes, I'm serious!) Do the toothbrushes needed soaking? Do you have individual toothbrush cases that need some attention as well? If you have girls, do you have hair things that need to be organized? Think of your company as well. Do you have an extra roll of toilet paper in there, as well as a hand towel? The bathroom is definitely a place where guests will see if they're at you house for any length of time. It should be the other room that stays clean at all times just in case. Next to my living room (the first place everyone sees) it's the next room that I try to keep spotless.
Print out the detailed cleaning list for the bathroom by clicking on the following link (you only need one, no matter how many bathrooms you have):
BATHROOMGo
to you organizer and write in your "NOTES" section what needs to get
done exactly so you don't forget, and when you've finished the room, be
sure to mark the date. This will help you to remember when you took
care of these things last and how often things need to get done around
your home. If something can't get done for now, that's okay… do what
you can and keep your list so you can remember what still needs to get
done for one of those times when you can get to it.
