• Wednesday, April 26, 2006 - A Couple Days Off...
My next appointment is this Friday at 8:30am. We found out that baby had turned and is head down at the last appointment (YIPEE!)! With my last two pregnancies the doctor has stripped membranes at each weekly appointment and did it three times (each time I dialated 1cm more). So, this Friday will be my third appointment with him doing that, but last time I was only at a "1" so I'm not anticipating any "action" on Friday. My husband, on the other hand, surprised me today by saying that he's kinda planning on it. Funny how I've been so calm about it... until he went and said that! I just can't even imagine it happening already on Friday! I'm definitely NOT ready.
So... I'm taking a little leave from the blog and will post again on Friday sometime to let you know how things went. I guess I just really feel like I need to get everything in order "just in case".
I would so appreciate any prayers for our baby to not have jaundice (only our last one didn't have to be put under lights, and our third one had to stay in the hospital for a week) so I will be able to go home the day after the baby is born (I really don't like staying in the hospital and like to get back home).
Hope everyone is doing well... I'll talk to you on Friday! In Him, Amy
You definitely need to take some time off to get all the necessary "stuff" done before baby is here. If you have the baby tomorrow (27th) it will be MY birthday-- so that is a very GOOD day! ;-)
Praying for a quick and easy delivery, a healthy momma, and a healthy baby!
I was told that the vitamin K shot can produce jaundice. You may want to check intot hat. They give it for mal-nutrition - I think. I will choose not to get it this time since each of my babies have a light case of jaundice each time.
Prayers for a good visit and a healthy baby.
Blessings,
Maria
Hi Dana,
I'm sure your relieved that the baby's head has turned. i pray that you get everything accomplished that you need to before the baby arrives. I've been kind of keeping up with the cleaning challange, I've just been doing it at my own pace. My big goal is to continue to rid our home of clutter.
God bless you!
Cathy :o)
Just stopping by to see how close you are to having that baby! I think I have baby fever, I got so excited abou titus2woman... and then remembered you must be getting close...
praying for you and yours,
ali
I commit Amy and the baby into Your loving hands. Thank You that the baby has turned. Thank You that You have ordained in Your book the day she is to be born. Thank You for a healthy baby with no jaundice problems. Thank You for an easy delivery for Amy and good health for her too. Lord, take care of the rest of the family so that Amy will have the assurance that You are in charge. We bless Your Name and praise You for the new life that is making her arrival soon. In Jesus' Name, Amen
and a woman seeking the Lord's Will (daily), a wife (striving to keep the romance alive), a "Smamma" (Step- mother) of one and a homeschooling mom of seven (I was never going to have children), who starts every day over (after messing SOME thing up the day before), knowing God's grace is overflowing (just like my laundry), and so thankful He's blessed me more than I'll ever deserve.
