• Tuesday, May 9, 2006 - Urgent Prayer Request...

I just received a prayer request from Laura who has asked for prayer for her friend at the sudden loss of her husband.  She wrote:

Amy, I am writing to you with a heart full of pain.  My dear homeschooling friend's husband went home to be with our Savior suddenly.  Her name is Naomi, she has five children...Ethan, Noah, Christopher, Micah, and Sarah.  There daughter is good friends with my girls.  He was a pillar for this family and it is so hard to understand all of this.  Please cover them in your prayers.

This is a path that none of us want to even imagine going down.  My heart aches for her, and for the kids.  When you hold a friend in your arms that has just been widowed, I believe you are changed for life.  They are clinging to the Lord for their strength.  She told me that they are clinging to Almighty God and He is going to father their children for them now.

Please be praying for them.  The services are today and tomorrow.  I told Naomi that the Holy Spirit will be prompting her brothers and sisters in Christ to pray for them, and we will respond in obedience.  So if the Holy Spirit brings them to your mind, please pray for them.  It is through the prayers of their fellow believers that they will gain the strength to even get through this tragedy.  Please also pray for the services.  He was a doctor in our town and a very well known and loved family.  Many people are planning on going to the funeral who do not know the Lord as their Savior.  Our prayer is that the Lord will bring many into His kingdom as a result of this tragedy.  The funeral is at 2:00 tomorrow.

In Christ,
Laura in ND

Please keep this family in prayer and lift them up during this difficult time.  I will be writing more about this, as well as Carol and their family when I get a moment.  I just wanted to be sure this got out to everyone as soon as possible.  Thanks for praying.

In Him,
Amy

Oh...May our Lord Jesus send the Comforter to this woman and her children. May they know His presence in a mighty way. Father, give them strength and courage that they may be able to stand in these days until all of their tears are wiped away by your very hands and there will come a day when they will rejoice and will smile again. In the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Amen

We will pray for this family, that the Lord holds them tight and He will be a Faithful Father to them we know. There is another request of two families in need of prayer as well, you can go to my blog for the details.
Thankyou for your sharing & caring. Blessings,

I have made a blog entry with several recent spousal deaths. Please pray for all of these families as they strive to rebuild their lives after losing those nearest and dearest to them. Thank you Krista for calling our attention to Chris and Jennifer. I have added Chris to my list as well.

I just breathed a prayer for this family as well as for Carol. You're a blessing to so many as a prayer warrior and messenger of hope. Thanks.

I will be praying for Naomi and her kids. May they experience God's love in a very tangible way. May they be filled with a steady faith that they will meet their loved one again. It really jolts me back to reality to remember that this world is not our home. We grieve...but not as those who have no hope.

I'M "JUST" A MOM...
and a woman seeking the Lord's Will (daily), a wife (striving to keep the romance alive), a "Smamma" (Step- mother) of one and a homeschooling mom of seven (I was never going to have children), who starts every day over (after messing SOME thing up the day before), knowing God's grace is overflowing (just like my laundry), and so thankful He's blessed me more than I'll ever deserve.
