• Thursday, June 8, 2006 - BIG News!

So, the "buzz" around our home is...

Our baby has a belly button!  a;slkdfja;lsdkfj;asldkfj... Yesterday his cord fell off and the kids couldn't be more excited.  They'd been taking turns putting the rubbing alcohol on it to get it to fall off.  Boy... you would've thought we'd won the lottery to see the kids' reaction to the whole thing.  I had to laugh.  It's still the talk today... 3.B.8 just came over and kissed the little guy and when he was walking away commented, "I'm so glad his cord fell off."

I wonder what hubby and I will ever talk about when this phase of our life is over...  a;lskdfj;alskdjf...  for now, I can't imagine, and I'm so thankful I don't have to.

In Him,
Amy

P.S. I haven't forgotten about posting about my curriculum choices... if you haven't commented on yours already, then please do so here...  Also, the magnet winners will be announced this weekend, as hubby is pressuring me to actually blog... a;lsdkfj;asldkjf... too funny huh?  How many husbands are making their wives talk?  He can't stand being behind... I'm convinced the Lord made me his wife... you know... to make him a more tolerant, patient man?  a;ldskfja;sldkfja;sdlkfja;sdlfkj

How fun! We had the same excitement in our house when her cord finally fell off, only with fewer kids (one to be exact!). Don't you just love that new little bellybutton?

I had to tell you what a blessing your blog is to me. I look forward to reading it whenever I find extra time in my day! I started the CHCHC before the baby was born and made wonderful progress. Needless to say, I set it aside for awhile but have at least been able to maintain most of it since then! I will start up again as soon as things settle down and I'm looking forward to sharing "before" and "after" pics! You are just an angel for all the time you have put into this project!

I love the pictures of baby Judah and your family! Thanks for sharing and I can't wait to see more! -Brandi

Hooray! Now he's a big boy!!! :-)

For some reason, it is such a relief when that happens.

Love,

I enjoyed your post and was feeling nostalgic about my 14 month old daughter. Although we did not have siblings to share the excitement of her cord falling off.

...on this momentous event!! al;skdjlksjdfskldjf That is just too cute! Kids are so excited about the smallest things. I guess now they have all figured out where their bellybuttons came from right? Or hasn't that dawned on them yet? HEHEHE!

The cord dropping off, such a momentous stage in a baby's development :-) I remember the great excitement in our household too lol.

Anyway, I'm back in blogland so thought I would pop by and say hi.

Love and Blessings

Don't children say the cutest things! How sweet that all the children are so attentive :) I've enjoyed reading what people are posting on their curriculum choices.

Have a great weekend,
Michelle

Hey Chicken
I've just caught up with all your blog entries with a huge smile on my face. You're doing really well girl! Enjoy!
I've been out of the blogging world recently because I'm involved in setting up a kind of TOS equivalent here in UK. Gena and TOS are supportive and I'm soooo excited. It's called 'Living Heitage' and we'll have a blog, newsletter, magazine, events and conferences eventually! Yey! Check out www.homeschoolblogger.com/homeschooluk for latest news.
God be with you Amy, he knows your every step!
