As I'm trying to figure out what this year
will bring for interruptions and plans, I get overwhelmed knowing that
the Lord will somehow put something in my path to remind me that this
is about HIM and not me... I still know I need to make plans so
that things stand a better chance of going well, but "flexibility" is
crucial.
I came across some planners that might be helpful to
some of you in planning a schedule. (I know there are only a million
different kinds... tee hee... but these are from our very own
homeschool blogger, Cindy!) There are many things on her site, but here are some to get you started:
"Managers of Their Homes"
has lots of great ideas as well, but is definitely more
schedule-orientated. I've had a hard time keeping a rigid
schedule, but there are still many things I do that I got directly out
of the book. (One example: Together Time with siblings!) Here are
some samples from their
site:
With all the things to plan for,
remember why you're doing this...
reflect on why you started (or are beginning) and
refresh your relationship with the Lord before beginning
any planning... Remember... it's
HIS will you're seeking with
HIS children... not your own.

- What
does your schedule look like for school? (Be sure to include ages
of your children... we know that age does matter in making a schedule!
)
- What
do you do to plan for your school year, and what materials (if any) do
you use (planners, organizers, portfolios, scrapbooks, ect.)?
