Eclectic Bibliophile had a wonderful idea she posted as a response in "SHARE and Tell" that I
had
to share! She always celebrates "Homeschool Freedom Day" by doing
something with her kids (she wrote, "usually with a picnic in
the park") on the first day of public school every year, no matter when
they start their homeschool year. Doesn't that sound like a great
tradition?
I LOVE IT! I'm
marking my calendar! Our public school starts September 6th and
we'll be having a picnic, and maybe a special dinner with dad that
evening. I'll have to think of something "crafty" maybe too...
I'll wait to see what you guys write!
