Taking Care of the Me in Mommy: Realistic Tips for Becoming a Better Mom--Spirit, Body & Soul- by Lisa Whelchel Description: Moms get so busy with the "doing" and the "giving" for their families that they never seem to have enough time to "rest" and "receive." So many well-intentioned moms have bought into the world-view that they can "have it all" and then believe the self-talk that "if I don't do it, it won't get done!" It's not surprising that so many mothers are running on empty! Author, speaker, wife, and mom Lisa Whelchel delivers a book full of practical tips and advice on how to help moms find lost time in their day to nourish body, soul, and spirit.
Please make plans to join us and spread the word! Our own, Marsha is moderating the group so join in the fun! In Him, Amy
We have a young man out of our church who joined the Navy and he has come up missing. We desire everyone's prayers for his safe return. Blessings, Traci
this year were once again treated to Lisa and her sweet and heart-touching insights. She is just as real as they come and so done to earth. She seems like someone who would come on over and sit on your couch and chat with you.
Hi Amy...I'm a longtime friend of grace4gayle and nsremom, as well as duckygirl, and I decided to investigate some of their blogging friends.......Love your blog, your insights are sweet and funny and touch my heart! I have 6 children, one little girl in heaven, and my husband and I are high school sweethearts (from MY high school days....he's 5 years older) And I have to say that he IS my favorite thing and person on earth, next to our kids!! Thanks for the great blog! Leanne
I just don't know that I have the extra time to commit to being a part of your Book Talk, though it sounds just wonderful to discuss this book with others. I'm really enjoying it. She makes me laugh out loud the way she shares her heart sometimes. :)
and a woman seeking the Lord's Will (daily), a wife (striving to keep the romance alive), a "Smamma" (Step- mother) of one and a homeschooling mom of seven (I was never going to have children), who starts every day over (after messing SOME thing up the day before), knowing God's grace is overflowing (just like my laundry), and so thankful He's blessed me more than I'll ever deserve.
