• Thursday, August 25, 2005 - A Mother's T.R.E.K. - Bethany

Last night I was reading through blogs on my list, and I came across one that I had to post from Bethany... please check it out and let her know you're praying for her and her family.

It's amazing how a story like that changes things for me... I feel numb and the world looks different... I go about my daily life, while someone is hurting...

So, in honor of Bethany and what she's going through right now, I'd like to spend time with my children today, and suggest you do the same... I'm not talking about school, or cleaning with the kids... I mean, taking some time out of life and really spending time... talk to them, hear them... listen to their fears and dreams... get to know them and where they're at today.

Getting on T.R.A.C.K. (Totally Random Acts of Cleaning Kindness) is important... the whole house runs more smoothly.  But a mother's T.R.E.K. (Totally Random Events with Kids) is more important.  Take time to bless your children today... you will bless yourself as well.  We'll get back on TRACK tomorrow in the kitchen.  Blessings to you and yours.

In Him,
Amy

I hope you enjoyed your time with your kids and learned something new about them =) I know our family is looking into more family time and the way we do things differently now with my health stuff (I suspect that was part of God's plan with this!). It is amazing how you think you have piles of time left....but in reality, we just don't know. I doubt this is what does me in, but really, I could walk across the street and be hit by a bus tomorrow. We just never know.
Thanks for the reminder about valuing time with the kids. More importantly, thanks for your prayers!!
