• Saturday, November 5, 2005 - S.H.M.I.L.Y. Time in BOOK TALK forum!

Okay ladies... the holidays are fast approaching.  I'm not sure what happens in your homes, but I know that the seasons change, along with the pressures of where to go for the holidays ALWAYS takes a toll on my husband and I.  We loose sight of what's important, and can almost be sure that there will be an argument somewhere inbetween the turkey dinner and the hustle bustle of Christmas dinner!

S.H.M.I.L.Y. Time:
  • The forum will open the week of Thanksgiving.  This may not give you  enough time to get the book if you order it, however, don't forget that the publi libraqry is an option too (you could atleast start reading it until your copy arrives in the mail).  Also, we've changed a little since we first started.  In order to read any posts, you must be registered.  This makes it more personal for those who are involved in the study and better insures confidentiality.  The forum also opens every chapter of the book, so you're able to read at your own pace and comment as you go.  Hope to see you there!
May the Lord be glorified as we seek new ways to spark our marriage and fufill our purpose as wives!  (To read the SHMILY story, go to "SHMILY Time" in the  Blog Subjects and then under "Introducing S.H.M.I.L.Y. Time". )

In Him,
Amy

the book looks good :) I have wanted to buy it before but just never did it! LOL I wish I could join and promise that I will participate but things have been so chaotic (at least my SIL says it has! LOL) that I have barely been able to keep up with life! Things are starting to slow down a bit but I probably will not be able to feel calm until after Christmas! Oh well :) Life is fun and more so with family near by :) Thanks for your note on blog - sorry it took me so long to see it! Read my blog for a quick update on us :)

•Monday, November 14, 2005 - Amy asked me to post about this book...

and if it was "a book that you can do over and over again as a reminder?" Here's my response. Yes! yes! yes...I have to tell you though...my dh is a fairly reserved (read 100% Japanese-American) guy and when I followed her suggestion to place some pretty, new undergarments in his luggage when he went on a trip...they opened his bag going through security and he almost died on the spot! Poor man! He was in uniform too as it was official military travel. I was SO embarrassed I haven't tried anything else from the book since! *LOL*
