• Sunday, November 11, 2007 - Day Eleven... True Happiness

Dear God Almighty,
You are the One and Only... the Beginning and the End... the Maker of All Things.  I come to You today and asking for clean hands and a pure heart, praying to not lift my soul to another whether it be a person or a thing... Lord, let me seek You in all things and not put anything or anyone else above You.  Please help me to keep my priorities straight...  Please keep my heart clean from desires of this world, Lord and help me to focus on what truly matters.

Lord, I thank You for the trust I can have in You.  No matter what is going on... You are there.  No matter who has failed me... You are there.  No matter how I fail... You are there.  You are steadfast in a world of constant change.  You are happiness in a world of fear, struggles, and tears.  Thank You for so many things in my life that make me smile: Your saving grace - Michael, my beloved - my children - the smell of freshly mowed grass - a clean house - sitting by the fire in the morning with a cup of tea - laying in bed watching the light from the fireplace in the livingroom "dance" on the wall in the hallway - having a breve with Michael and just talking - listening to Mike play his 12-string guitar and sing - the smell of bed sheets that have come from hanging on the line outside - laying in the grass and watching the clouds with my kids - black and white pictures - the way Mike touches me - the color red - Mike's soft lips - my childrens' laughter - sticky kisses - dandelion bouquets - encouraging words - hugs - helping someone else - laying in Michael's arms - sleeping in on Saturday and our kids coming in to cuddle - the pictures of each of our children on the livingroom wall - the moment after my babies are born, holding them, and seeing their face for the first time.  Lord, there is so much happiness in my life that has come from You.  Thank You for filling my life with joy because You love me.

and a woman seeking the Lord's Will (daily), a wife (striv- ing to keep the romance alive), a "Smamma" (Step- mother) of one and a homeschooling mom of seven (I was never going to have child- ren), who starts every day over (after messing SOME thing up the day before), knowing God's grace is overflowing (just like my laundry), and so thankful He's blessed me more than I'll ever deserve.
