With the closing of every year, I  wonder what the coming year will bring, and then, at the end of that year, I’m amazed by what it held… sometimes good, and sometimes bad… but NEVER outside of what God knew.

Two-thousand seven has without a doubt, been our toughest.  As I look into 2008, never have we had a more uncertain future.  I wish I could know what was coming.  Sometimes I think that if I just knew how THIS situation would end up, or how THAT circumstance would take place, that I wouldn't worry about things because I'd already know the outcome.

It would be great to have that peace of mind that no matter what was happening... everything was right on track.  To have that kind of assurance…

I am all the assurance  you need.  Do I not take care of the birds in the air?  Do you not think that I care more for you?  I am the Beginning and the End.  There is nothing that escapes Me.  I am All-Knowing, All-Powerful... I AM.  Your future is no secret from Me.  Stop finding assurance in your savings account, your job, your transportation, your house, your spouse, yourself, your plans… and trust Me.  I will carry you through ALL your circumstances in the safety of My hands.  The plans you make will never truly prepare you for what it is to come.  Rest in Me… I am ALL the assurance you need… in the coming year and every year after.

As we go through 2008, may we accept everything the Lord has planned for us without apprehension, knowing His Will is better than any plan we could ever make.  Let us put our trust in Him and live our lives in a way that we won’t regret and not worry about what tomorrow will bring, knowing we are in the Lord’s hands and may our lives be full of praises lifted to our King!
