So I've just discovered, I have short-term memory
loss... or something like that anyway. I may have realized this
at one time, and forgotten, but I find no post in my blog, so therefore
I'm lead to believe I've just come to this conclusion. I posted the story on being thankful for the thorns in our lives very recently, but would you believe I've since called hubby complaining about many
things? All I can figure is... I must have forgotten what I
posted... I mean, I completely forgot... or that's the story I'm
sticking to anyway... So, in order for me NOT
to do this again, or at least to do it as infrequently as possible,
I've decided that I need to make sure that I'm applying that story to
my life constantly so as not to become discontented. Now, I realize I may be the only person with this problem... after all, this is a group of christian women, therefore, everyone knows we're supposed to give thanks in ALL things. But... just incase anyone struggles with this... I'm
starting a new category by introducing "Thorny Thank-Yous". It
will be up daily (or as often as I feel the need to complain, where I
will list what I'm struggling with or want to complain about... The
catch is this... I will first write the words: "Thank you Lord
for..." If
you'd like, please stop there frequently (or as often as you'd like to
complain) and post yours as well... please respect each
other's feelings on this one... you can be as honest about your
complaining as you'd like, however, remember we are still thanking
God, so in your subject post, be sure to write "Thank you Lord for..."
as well. I hope this will help remind us we are to give thanks in
all things. Remember,
this isn't listing the things we easily thank God for... these are
the things we don't like... but we're going to try and change our
attitudes about them, okay? Who knows... it may even become
easier and easier to thank Him in all things... hmmm... that would be
something, huh? "Dear
brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an
opportunity for joy. For when your faith is tested, your endurance has
a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully
developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything."

BTW, that post will remain on the co. couch. You can go directly to it by clicking the ribbon on your blog. I made it link directly to the post on which you are featured. Pretty nifty, huh?
Have a great day.
