Dearest Michael, In
honor of your 41st birthday today, I'm making a list of 41 things I've
been or am thankful for and have loved or love about you...
when you look into my eyes with all the love in the world... I cry
sitting on the couch with you listening to our children play
listening to you pray
watching you get teary when you talk about our children
listening to your testimony of coming to Christ
hearing you tell me why you love me
seeing how far you've come... and being beside you the entire way
your gentle kisses
your passionate kisses
when you gently kiss my eyelids
okay... just when you kiss me... anytime... anywhere!
seeing the man of God you've become
knowing how much you love the Lord
hearing you speak of how God has blessed you
laying in your arms
waking up each morning to you next to me
having our children crawl into bed with us when we sleep in
seeing you in our children, and knowing the love that brought them here
how you provide for your family... no matter how difficult
how you never give up
your convictions
your honesty
when you laugh and it comes all the way from your heart...
your sexy legs
your warm brown eyes
your smile
when you get your hair cut
looking at you right after you've watched our child being brought into the world
when you sing and play the guitar
hearing your truck coming into our driveway at the end of the day
when you refer to me as your "bride" to others
when you hug me
listening to you sing and play guitar with our children
having a breve with you
making love with you
sharing our joys together
sharing our trials together
sharing our dreams together
finding out God's will for our life together
just being with you... anytime... anywhere... doing anything
knowing the Lord has great plans for you... and knowing you'll allow Him to mold you

love you honey, and look forward to what life still holds for us...
together. I will love you always. I'm so thankful for my
life with you and how the Lord has blessed us. I'm so glad He
chose for us to share this life together.
I sent an email this morning to hubby with the link to this post, so he did see it first thing... (a little public humiliation is a good thing, right? Thanks for the birthday wishes... I'll pass them along!
P.S. I'll add this to the SHMILY Time posts as well, so when hubby's birthday rolls around, you can just go to the "SHMILY Time" on the side! Who knows... by then, the book might be done! Keep prayin'!
I just want to say thank you for you willingness to share your heart with us. I enjoy you SHMILY time posts, they are very encouraging to me. I find it so often women, married Christian women, tend to shy away from the subject of love and romance, thank you for embracing it. Lovely list by the way!
and a woman seeking the Lord's Will (daily), a wife (striving to keep the romance alive), a "Smamma" (Step- mother) of one and a homeschooling mom of seven (I was never going to have children), who starts every day over (after messing SOME thing up the day before), knowing God's grace is overflowing (just like my laundry), and so thankful He's blessed me more than I'll ever deserve.
