Sunday, December 18, 2005 - A Mother's T.R.E.K. - Lisa
I do realize that we just had a "T.R.E.K." the other day... but I've come across a couple of things that have made me feel like I needed to do it again.
I came across a prayer request for the Roberts family (the mother is Lisa). They really have an amazing story, which has rejoicing and sadness. They lost one of the four babies (on November 23rd) that they delivered on November 4th. (Grab kleenex before watching baby Emily Anne's Memorial Slideshow.) I emailed them today and received an email back that said:
Amy, Thank you so much for your kindness. You're now on our update list, and we'll always include things to pray for for each of the kids, which you're free to consolidate as much as you'd like! We appreciate so much you kindness in reaching out to us and asking people to pray for us, which is such a huge confidence-builder to helpless parents. Right now, Danielle needs the Lord to give her a sound mind and Danielle needs the Lord to give her a sound mind and strong body, and to allow her to reroute some of the pathways that have been lost through damaged brain tissue.

What an emotional roller coaster Lisa (as well as the rest of the family) must be on... Please keep her, and the entire family in prayer. I can't imagine the loss of a child.
Then I went to Jen's blog and read, "The Day I Died" and was terribly convicted. I know that this time of the year I find myself spending more time getting ready for the company coming, than being with my children.
So I'm declaring tomorrow as another T.R.E.K. day with your kids. What will you do with your day? I think a fort under the kitchen table is looking pretty good to me...
I also happened on "The Day I Died" the other day..... tears tears tears.... today we are going to our little local zoo with friends then back home for a fun lunch.... Thank YOU!
