Mike is loading bags as I speak... uh, write... and the kids are ready for church where we will leave from to be in the car for 5 hours (I'm told). Mike and I went to a church function last night and the one of the things I took out of there was... WHAT YOU LOOK FOR, YOU WILL SEE... and so, I've made a choice.
I WILL look for:
time with my kids
time with my hubby
rest
patience
sunsets
sunrises (some of them)
the stars
reading time
journal time
time with the Lord in His surroundings
good times with new friends
meeting new people
coffee with my beloved
reading time with my kids
taking pictures (I'll share when I get back!)
I WILL NOT look for:
pessimism
bears
snakes
mice
any other animal that might invade my personal space
electricity
And so, with that improved attitude... I say "good-bye for now" to my curling iron, hair dryer and hair taffy (yes, there is such a thing and I DO use it) and embark on a new adventure and feel as though I should walk out the door to a covered wagon.
I'll be journaling, so be sure to stop back and hear about "What I did on MY summer vacation".
I've added a Mr. Linky to my blog to "collect" all the specific blog posts of tributes, prayers and love in one place... so that it will be easier for Marsha to find in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
and a woman seeking the Lord's Will (daily), a wife (striving to keep the romance alive), a "Smamma" (Step- mother) of one and a homeschooling mom of seven (I was never going to have children), who starts every day over (after messing SOME thing up the day before), knowing God's grace is overflowing (just like my laundry), and so thankful He's blessed me more than I'll ever deserve.
