So, "just for fun" I will be posting some SHMILY challenges throughout the month to help you to show your husband how much you love him...  they won't be every day and you can do them at any time.

CHALLENGE #1

As we learned in Chapter 1 (His Wife) it's easier to be loving, forgiving and less disappointed with our husbands when we are focusing on his good qualities.  Take a moment to begin a list of all the things you love, admire, and appreciate in your husband.  For some of you, this may be very difficult.  Try and look past your hurts and think back to what made you fall in love with the man you call "husband".

Keep the list in your journal and continue to add to it as you think of more things.  They may be things you've taken for granted (does he change the oil, mow the lawn, cook, sing you songs, write poetry, put his arm around you when you're in public?)... think about it... it may take awhile.  Ask God to show you your husband through His eyes... ask Him to help you see the man HE created.

This month will not be easy at times... when things get tough, bring out your list and think about what you've written.  Your husband may not do this or that... but by focusing on the good things... you will learn to be content with what you do have!
