• Saturday, February 25, 2006 - Candace's 13th Surgery...
Please be praying for Candace tomorrow, as she will be having her 13th surgery at 8:30 in the morning (Eastern Time). If you are willing, please sign up for a specific time to pray below by leaving a comment (and I will add it as I get them). Also, if you pray, please don't forget to sign up on their prayer calendar to let Candace know all the prayer covering her little body. Thanks for praying.
(This is referring to their time (Eastern) which is an hour earlier than Central Time and so forth... Please take your time zone into consideration when signing up for a time to pray.)
(I will also be having a prayer list for Emily on Monday, who has her first surgery on Tuesday morning, so please stop back and sign up for that as well, and keep Molly's son in your prayers as well.)
I'll be praying more frequently, but will comitt to the 8:00am slot specifically.
BTW, Thanks for your comment on my blog. I'm looking forward to your follow up entry too! I do hope you didn't misunderstand my post. Using code in the place of childrens' names DOES add another level of security and privacy. That just wasn't the focus of my entry. I can see both sides of divulging real names or not, and can definately appreciate your wisdom in not using your children's names. Really my post was a caution against venting domestic anger in a public setting.
I have just gotten through praying for Candace. I would sign up but I'm so horrible at praying at specific times as my life always gets in the way. Please let this precious one know I've prayed for her.

Hi- I will be praying, thanks for letting me know. I will ask for prayer in my ss class tomorrow. I did not sign up for a time because sadly I always forget about it when the day and time comes and I would hate to be a part of something and not hold up my end. But I will be praying throughout the day for her.
Susan
I took some time to pray right now for you and your children. I will be gone most of the day and I know I won't remember if I sign up for a specific time. As I think of you throughout the day, I will add to my prayers.
I am not going to be taking a slot, but I will be praying throughout the day -- every day until she is well. I posted an email from my pastor's wife -- after she and her son visited Candace. http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/Janne/89998/
The word picture paints when she writes about Candace and Santi just melts my heart.
I will gladly take 10 p.m., as I'm on the West Coast, and that's 7 to me! We will be having a church meeting at that time, and I would love to share your request with the 150 or so folks who will be there.
I am praying for Candace Joy. I couldn't figure out how to be added to her prayer list for a certain time, so my regular prayers for her throughout the day must suffice. She is a beautiful girl and I know what her parents are going through, as two of our daughters received heart transplants at age 6. How grueling to see defenseless children suffer, but a wonder to see how God works. I am thankful for the medical community, the skills God gives to doctors to help in the healing process. It bothers me that people write and say we haven't had enough faith to wait on God and allow Him to heal, rather than take them to doctors. God works in many ways, even through doctors.
Love, Susan
God Bless you for your dedication to Christ and your faithfulness to share in the suffering and burden of our family. Please pass on that complications were found in Candace Joy's bones and we are going through extensive testing at the time. Infection seems to be going on as blood tests have revealed. We will have further info on her bone results in the afternoon. We thought we were near the conclusion but it may be just starting. Please pray for Gods wonderful grace for all of us.
and a woman seeking the Lord's Will (daily), a wife (striving to keep the romance alive), a "Smamma" (Step- mother) of one and a homeschooling mom of seven (I was never going to have children), who starts every day over (after messing SOME thing up the day before), knowing God's grace is overflowing (just like my laundry), and so thankful He's blessed me more than I'll ever deserve.
