• Sunday, February 26, 2006 - Urgent Prayer Request from Candace's Mom

I just stopped in at Candace's site and found this urgent prayer request from her mom, Cathy.

I need prayer for Candace who has not eaten for some three weeks now and has been on an I.V. drip for her minerals.  A stomach tube was inserted a couple of days ago to try to get some foods into her and her stomach is rejecting just about everything going in.  This causes quite a bit of pain as she still has the large abdominal open wound.  She needs to have nourishment so it is important she gets over this hurdle.  Please send out the prayer warriors on this one.  Also remember us in Sunday mornings surgery and alert the churches to pray!  Thank you for your faithfulness and I know we will have a tremendous praise report to give you when this is all said and done and we will all be blessed for it!

...thanks for keeping all of us updated on this. There are four of us in our family (still living at home) that will be praying. Our church congregation is very small and varies from week to week attendance-wise, so I don't feel I can give you an accurate number there. Also, I don't know how many of my blog readers will be joining in.

Hi from the UK
I am not sure what time it would be in the UK but I want to let you know that the children and I will pray tomorrow morning in our quiet time for both Candace and Emily.
It is so hard to imagine going through this but anyone with children can empathise with what these brave parents are facing.

There are five us praying here. Also add my friend in CA, Linda, the five of them will be praying also.

Oh, that God in His magnificant grace, mercy and lovingkindness miraculously heal this precious child's body.
I'll be praying the 11:30 time as we enter into worship at church,

I'm signing in on the prayer calendar. Honestly, it sounds like what dh is recovering from, a pelvic abcess, bone infection, major surgeries. Luckily, dhs was a much more easily cured bacteria, and he only needed 3 surgeries, but I know where they're coming from. I emailed them to let them know, as I thought it might be helpful to know that others have recovered from it.

I am best at praying in the wee hours of the night, when the Lord awakens me at 3 or 4 AM.
I will pray for Candace when I am called at these times to do so.
My daughter is also about her age, so this has really pulled at my heartstrings.
