Monday, September 29, 2008 - "Jesus, Thank You for My Wife" ??
During our morning devotions, Cameron was thanking Jesus for different things in his life.
"Thank You for my Mama. Thank You for my bed. Thank You for my toads. Thank You for my wife. Thank You for...."
I did not interrupt him but I couldn't believe what I just heard. After he finished, I questioned him about it.
"What did you say Thank You for right after your toads?"
"I don't know..."
"It sounded like you said, 'Thank You for my WIFE'."
"I said, 'BIKE' Mama, 'Thank You for my BIKE.'"
"Oh good, I was hoping you didn't go off and get married without telling me. Will you tell me if you do."
"Probably not."
"Oh?"
"Yeah, I'm never getting married."
Apparently I need my ears checked.

I wanted to add that dh prays every night for my sons wife...so I thought maybe he was reciting what you may have prayed over him. Also m always says hes not getting married either...only to his mummy:) When dh hugs me m says let me in the loves too! and has to be right in the middle of all our hugs. I love having a little boy:)

I'm sorry, but thank you for my WIFE is much better. One day the Lord will give him a wife, and doesn't he want her to be prayed over now!!
Janney asks us to pray for her prince all the time, and wants to know when her prince will come and get her and all sorts of things about her prince. She often asks daddy to pray for her prince.
Maybe Janney's prince is Cameron... wouldn't you want to know that we're praying for your Cameron?
WINK..
And if I'm raising Janney to be Cameron's princess.. I sure hope I'm doing it just right so that she's the treasure he's looking for.
hugs

That is classic! I am homeschooling only one boy too! I'm always looking for others like me, as I know that homeschooling only one presents challenges that those with more than one don't understand. How old is your son? Mine is 9.
