I have been insanely busy!

We went up to Chicago the 11th to meet with some of our staff. We got to stay at the AWAWA's headquarters where Luke dropped the car keys down the elevator shaft. Fortunately Dad brought the extra set. After finishing our business in Chicago we started on back south towards Peoria for the Peoria Homeschool convention. There we met up with the Novaks! I got to see Eric again! It was awesome! I think the convention ended the 14th. So, we left Peoria thinking that we would stop by the Dixons before home. But then Dad got a call.... and it changed all the plans. We had to get home so that we could hook the trailer up and be in Louisville, KY, the next day to pick up some racks (newsstands) for our magazines. We drove straight home and the next morning Dad and Luke went and got them. We were so bummed because we were really looking forward to seeing the Dixons. While Dad and Luke were getting the racks, Mom emailed the Dixons and told them that we would be in Cincinnati the next day and that we'd love to stop by their place then. They emailed back saying that, that would be fine! So we were all excited again. The next morning my mom calls and says that we wouldn't after all be able to make it. Awwww, I was so disappointed. But we loaded up the van and started on our way. BTW, this trip was to pick up even more racks. So, we're driving along and on our way up there we decided that we would actually be able to stop by. LOL! This time it was for sure! After getting the racks we got back on the road and drove and drove and drove. We got there at around 1am! But we were so exited to be there! I got up at 7am to help Amanda and Jocelyn with the animals (not like I did much). :-) After we... or actually they, finished cleaning the horses and milking the goats we went back into the house where Luke already had the chess set out. He was determined to beat Jocelyn at chess (and he did)! But then she beat me... which doesn't make sense 'cause I can cream Luke.

Needless to say, we had a wonderful time at their house and I hope we can go back soon!

Oh! And I got to hold their little newborn!

She is so cute!

Here are a few pictures:

Luke and Jocelyn, playing "THE BIG GAME!"

We all got to hold her!

She is ADORABLE!!!

Caleb is now a big brother! Look at his cute little face!

Ah, Jocelyn! You're making her cry! JK!

Here are some pictures of all of us kids.

Both Amanda and Jocelyn posted about it. And since they’re both better writers than I am you may want to check out there blog.

  ;)

Oh! And it seems that Rachel posted about our stay as well!

P.S. I will respond to Joe’s comment soon …I hope (I haven’t forgotten about it).

Post A Comment!

Yes, I enjoyed you guys being here too! I hope that if your mom gets any crazy notions to move... she'll think INDIANA! ;) Wouldn't that be swell?

I know you were going easy on me.... Yes, a rematch! Practice! I will! Maybe even beat Luke. You see the thing is that he has all the time in the world to play chess and read about it.... but not me... I've got lots of chores to do and I'm too tired to read much or practice...

And I can't wait to see you (all) again! 2WEEKS!

lil sis,
Jocelyn :)

*ahem* If I do say so myself, your hat looks better on Caleb than it did on you. But generally speaking, I love that hat! :) And I'd also like to know how Luke dropped a set of keys down an elevator shaft?

Well, I'll see how much of the logo I can fit into a banner. I have a few ideas...

I enjoyed the pictures! Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Thanks for the computer info, by the way.

Those are some nice photos.

I posted about the mini-vacation. :) Thanks for praying! We got home safe and everything.

That would be neat to meet you and your family. I bet my Mom would enjoy meeting your Mom. :)

Ok, I can just imagine the whole Luke dropping keys down the elevator shaft incident-- that is SO LUKIE!

Secondly, I love Kaitlin's comment-- she echoes me completely.

Sounds like Timothy copied you though-- says he got a patchwork hat like that.

Yeah, your video was pretty cool except it got kind of boring halfway through and the percussion is totally off with the rest of the music. :D

I hope you guys are doing well-- you've been pretty busy!

You look like a homeless person. :D

Anyway, I think you meant disgust, not discust. :D

No, I wasn't copying you. I've always thought those hats were awesome.

I think that is the template that we're going to use. I've updated it a bunch, and it's starting to look good.

Yeah, that got messed up about 1 1/2 years ago on accident (I was working on your blog back in California) and I signed into two accounts at once and it merged your stinkin' info into my beautifimous template. I never got around to putting my info back up..

Anyways, I don't use it anymore and I accidently opened like three other accounts yesterday (stinkin' HSB kept messing me up) so if you'd notify someone to delete the following, I'd be mighty appreciative:

You know, I call a chess game next time we see you guys, because I have slammed everyone in my family who would play me--including my dad! (It took me FOR-ever to get to Daddy's level! Mommy says she is no good at chess and so she won't play me! Grrrr.... Ok, do we have a deal? I have to play you, Luke or both. Thank you, and while I am here.....

WHAT ON EARTH DID YOU DO WITH THE "Do Not Press" BUTTON??!!!

Hee hee. G'bye!

[You MUST visit soon!] Coie's coming, why can't you guys?]

Adios!

Mariel

P.S. You're not so bad. (writing)

P.P.S. How come you get to see the Dixons? It's not fair, I tell you, just not......
