Hi hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and new year. Ours was lovely though hectic, we're rearranging our downstairs at the moment, turning one room into two to create an office and a school room and create a bedroom for our eldest dd - we have 4 children sleeping in one room at the moment.
It's hard work trying to find time to sort it all out and still find time to fit some schooling in, we're being pretty laid back at the moment, just working on the basics, though my eldest dd who's nearly 7 has finally started understanding begining sounds and is finally remembering her letters. I do firmly believe in the better late than early approach but it's very hard when your eldest is not ready til "late" and all her school going peers are already reading and people are thnking you are not teaching them enough, I am just praying that it will pay off as she gets older and will prove my chioce was right in not rushing her.

Jan. 30, 2009 - Hi Sarah
The fact that you are aware of where your child is at shows that, I'm sure people whose children go to school don't even think about it.
Whether their children are ready or not is irrelevant to most people as they think that school must be right, I think you are wise.
