Daily Perspectives of a Deaf Mom

Brand NEW here
I'm new here and am not sure where to start. :-)
It's already late at night (rather early in the morning) and all I can
think about is how excited I am to find a place that homeschool Moms
can get together and talk about homeschooling. What a refreshing change
from other blogs that discuss other stuff rather than
homeschooling. I crave to talk to other Moms about
homeschooling options, thoughts, share lists, and any other stuff that
come up in our lives. I don't have a set program for my children.
I have looked at a lot of programs and it can get confusing after a
while.
I don't know anyone here, so I'll just keep this new entry short. :-)

Welcome! I am also new, but I sort of hit the ground running, since I have been reading them for a couple of months now.
My son is HH, but with aids he does really well, and we just started using an FM system. He is going to Kindergarten two afternoons a week, just so he can keep up with his sign language and such. He went to preschool for two years, and I missed him so much... none of the schooling options seemed ideal, so we decided to homeschool Kindergarten (figured I couldn't screw that up!) and since then, we have fallen in love with family life being more intense, and the educational opportunities etc etc etc!!! so, I think we are in for the long haul. sorry this is so long!
Come by and have a visit on my blog sometime...

I will add you to my friend list as well. You can also got to anyone blog that leaves you a comment by clicking on their names. Hope this has helped some!

Hi there! I saw your blog name in the last sign-up section on the homepage. It certainly captured my attention! WOW! I am fascinated by how you overcome the challenges of HS your children. I look forward to reading more details about how you do it.
My blog has an attention getting name too! Check it out when you have time. I want to add you to my friends so that I can hear more about your HS adventure.
Blogging is fun! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Just wanted to say Hi and Welcome to blogging! I've only started recently too and I'm still learning the ropes as it were. Well done for getting this far. I started learning ASL when I was 8 y/o because it fasinated me and I thought it was the most beautiful language in the world! I wanted to be a teacher for the deaf, but God had other plans for my life. I've been working the last few years on my qualifications in BSL and we are hoping to maybe adopt a deaf child in the future. So I guess if we have a deaf child and homeschool I would be a teacher of the deaf after all!!! Hope you don't mind if I add you to my friends list, I'd love to get to 'know' you better! - DeeDee

I am relatively new to blogging too. My hubby (homeskool) kept telling me about it and I finally tried it and I absolutely love it. I have found many like minded friends--so hard to do many times.
My husband and I are both fluent signers (he more than me) and God used us many years ago in W. TN to start a deaf ministry. To my understanding, God is still carrying out that work. Nice to meet you.
God bless,
Christine

Hi! I am new too and I can't take my hands off my laptop these days. I been redesigning my blog and I think this is very addictive. Before I came here I was a Deaf Interpreter in the Philippines. FSL and ASL are almost alike in so many ways, I guess because American missionaries were the first ones that started ministering to the Deaf in the Philippines. I worked with American Deaf missionaries that's why ASL wasn't that strange to me. I meeet several deaf one time at the mall and I was a bit embarrassed at first because I do not know how much of my signs they can understand, but my husband keeps encouraging me. So I tried to say Hi and we end up staying for another hour at the Food Court :-) I guess they understand me after all.
