Masterpiece

For as long as I can remember, Braden has loved to draw. He will color some, but his favorite thing is drawing. He fills pages and pages with pictures. He'll draw just about anything. I've had pictures on the fridge that range from self-portraits to Darth Vader to wild life. Braden asked me the other day what I wanted him to draw. My usual response to this is for him to be creative and draw something from his imagination. But this time, I answered differently. I told him to draw a pre-historic picture, complete with trees, dinosaurs, water. Anything at all from the dinosaur era, but he had to make a whole page. I told him if he did a really good job, I would scan the picture and post it on my blog. So here it is, the finished masterpiece:  I think it's wonderful. And my favorite part: The T-rex with the bones of his latest meal in the background! Yes, I'm the mom of boys!  |
