Today's Writing prompt

Today I had the boys write about Jon.  (their baby brother).  Nate wrote the following:

Jon is my baby.  We have a lot of fun together.  Sometimes he screams.

stuff

I sat here thinking about a good name for this post.  Could not. hee hee... So... it is called stuff.     Today is Wednesday.  Which means Bible Study. I really do enjoy our Bible Study.  and I am even happier to say that this is our LAST week in Exodus.    Dont get me wrong, it was a very goood study, but just long.  and there has not been much action in the last chapters.  The next book we will go through is Mark.  I am REALLY looking forward to that.  I just also finished my Monday night Study. That was a good one too. The book we just finished was on Mothering and homemaking.  Lots of verses that are about staying at home and taking care of the family.  We were in Proverbs 31 ALOT!

things are better with the house work thing. (not great, but is getting better).  I have been making a huge effort at working harder to keep the house clean.  (cleaner) Dishes are caught up, laundry is caught up. the kitchen is clean.   I did a deep cleaning of the lving room and kitchen.  This week i am supposed to be working on deep cleaning my room. that is not going great. I keep putting it off.

As you can tell, they have new cute emoticons.  I like the laundry one myself.

Nothing else new.  Same ol. School and housekeeping.  I am in the mood to read.  I finished Toney's blanket. ( I started in the spring of 2005) ahem....  oh well.  now i started Nate's. and I hope to get it done by the end of the year.

Something I always wanted to know!!!

Below are the lyrics to Take on Me.

A song from A-ha, but you knew that, yes???

Anyway.  I found the lyrics because for years I could not exactly understand what the lead singer (Morten Harket)  I used to be a big fan...sigh... anyway, I could not understand what he was saying after the words "I'll be gone"

So, now I know! And so do you! Even if you didnt want to.

We're talking away
I don't know what
I'm to say I'll say it anyway
Today's another day to find you
Shying away
I'll be coming for your love, OK?
Take on me, take me on
I'll be gone
In a day or two
So needless to say
I'm odds and ends
But that's me stumbling away
Slowly learning that life is OK.
Say after me
It's no better to be safe than sorry
Take on me, take me on
I'll be gone
In a day or two
Oh the things that you say
Is it live or
Just to play my worries away
You're all the things I've got to remember
You're shying away
I'll be coming for you anyway
Take on me, take me on
I'll be gone
In a day or two

Things are not good!

Ok. they are not bad either! hee hee.  I cant find my Bible study for tonight.  it was called off last week so I put it in my Bible.  Or so I thought. because when I just went to get them ( mine and the boys) I found the boys, but mine was not there. I have to start supper any minute and I dont have time to do it agian.  NOT that I would want to.  What can I say other than "They are STILL building the tabernacle" sigh

The boys have been snapping at each other today and arguing and just plain not being nice to each other.  I am very blessed to have 2 boys who do get along togehter about 90% of the time, but today I think they are making up for that.  =)

I have not blogged in awhile.  Dont think anyone has missed me.  =(  Not that I am feeling sorry for myself.  no, I am not.  ok. maybe a little.  I have no car.  Will I EVER have one agian?  Dont know

sigh

Nate's asthma is worse.  We have an appt for next Monday.  How will I get there?  Good question. yes?

ok.  need to start dinner

Huh??

A Tv add I just watched  says this:

"Why do our Soldiers have to keep dying?"  This was followed by

"Can't we support stem cell research?"

Is it just me or is this just an oxymoron or is it just me?

Something to ponder

All of these questions were being asked to a bush.  Get it??  A bush, then they say that you cant get an answer from that bush and neither can you form (They post a picture of GW) of that Bush either.

I CANT WAIT TIL ELECTION DAY IS OVER!

15 years!

15 years ago today, I married the most wonderful man!!  It is hard for me to put into words just how wonderful being married has been for me.  We have come a long way since that warm day in October of 1991.

We have 3 wonderful children.  We have fun doing things together.  He have things in common that we didn't when we first got married.  The Lord had brought us a long way and I praise Him for what He has done in our lives and what He will do in our lives.

A Whole Lot About Not A Whole lot

Today is The first Monday in October. I am about to freeze to death! Ok. not really, though it is only in the 60s.  Last week was in the 90s.  I must admit I like it.  I also like the fact that it rained last night!  MMM! the smell of rain.  LOVE it.

This weekend went so fast.  Saturday was my niece's 7th birthday party. That was fun. I had been looking forward to that but also dreading having to chase my 15 month ALL over the place. He did very well and did not have to chase him too much. We all  had alot of fun at the party.

Then Sunday we spent WAY too long grocery shopping.  Even though we uped our grocery budget, we still used it all!  ACK! We were joking about that in a couple of years we wil have to make 2 coscto trips instead of 1!  We should bet to see when that will be.

Speaking of October..... Dh said that this month we can get pregnant.  He said that several months ago, so I am not sure what will happen about that. It came up in converstion the other day and he did not say we are not going to do it... so....We shall see where that goes.

School is going well, but today is our first sick day.  Toney is sick. not sure what is going on.  No one else is sick.  I wonder if he ate something bad yesterday when we were shopping.

Well I am going to go check on the laundry which is on the clothes line. I am thinkig it is NOT getting dry. being as there is no sunshine OR warmth!!!!!  But really I am not complaining.  too much anyway

My Weekend

I had such a wonderful weekend at the Retreat!  Many good things came out of it for me.

We left Friday afternoon and got back Sunday afternoon.  There were 4 speaking sessions. 1 on Friday. 2 on Saterday and 1 on Sunday.  We had some free time on Saturday.  between the first session and our hike at 4.  that was a wonderful walk. but I forgot my camera!  I was so bummed!!!!     .

So between the sessions (In which God seemed to be talking to ME alot!) and the wonderful food and the wonderful company, I had a great time!

One thing that really touched my heart was the queit prayer room.  That was a room where you went and on the wall was white paper.  You took a pen and traced your hand and put a prayer request in it. Then you go to the other hands and put your hand on it and pray for the other requests.  What a privelage it was for me to put my hand on other hands and pray for other women.  I enjoyed that experience more than I can express.   I wish I had written them down to take home with me.

It was a very wonderful weekend for me, but I was happy to be home with my family. I missed them greatly!  I called home on Saturday night and I talked to my son Toney. I asked him what he was doing:

(Toney)  Waiting

(Me)  for what sweetie?

(Toney) For you to come home to me

Oh that was sad! If I had a car, i might just have gone home right then! LOL!
