One of the most amazing things about this blog is how people can share each others burdens and ask for prayer knowing that there are thousands of people all around the world who will respond to them. Prayer is the most powerful gift that God has given us and no Christian is exempt from it. How wonderful that we have an open channel to our Father God who hears our cries for help and answers them in truly miraculous ways.
It has been a hard, sad, traumatic week for so many. But praise God they are not alone. They are covered and surrounded by the prayers and love of many people they have never met as well as those closest to them.
I think that no matter where we are today we can all stop a short time and continue in Prayer for those we have had brought to our attention as well as the people in our own lives who are going through very difficult times right now.
Dear Lord
I want to lift up Emily, Candace and Missey's family to you now. I pray that you will comfort them, strenghten them and be so close to them.
I pray for complete healing for Candace and Emily and that you will help their families as they help them through this dark time.
Amen

Mar. 4, 2006 - EMERGENCY PRAYER REQUEST FOR CANDACE!
Posted by DandelionSeeds

Cathy, Candace's mom, has sent out another EMERGENCY Prayer Request for Candace. (She also posted one in the middle of the night that Janne informed some of us of, as things are not going well). Please keep this little girl in fervent prayer.
Please remember the family of Missey who are having her funeral this morning. I will be having a post honoring Missey through "A Mother's T.R.E.K." and will keep you posted on that as well.
In Him,
Amy

Hi, thanks for comments. We live near Chesterfield, which is good as it's pretty central, we're on the border of Notts and Yorkshire as well as being classed as Derbyshire! What do you use to teach your children to read? I've seen both teach your child to read in100 easy lessons and the ordinary parents guide to teaching your child to read recommended and I keep thinking I should really start doing something soon - my daughter will be 4 in a couple of weeks, although I don't believe in rushing it, I find it difficult to get the balance with my eldest as it's the first time you do things.

Mar. 9, 2006 - learning to read

Hi, thank you for sharing with me your experiences etc it is really helpful to know someone who's been there. Sometimes I think I panic a bit at not using a particular scheme etc that my children won't learn anything (though deep down Iknow that isn't true) I think I have same views as you - in that I like unit studies that encompass a whole host of subjects, but I don't want to start too early, but at the same time don't want to leave it too late :-) I'll be fine once my eldest is officially learning but until then .....

You are so right about prayer! It totally can change lives and situations we're in. God wants to hear us talk to Him!! Just with the sale of my Dad's home I can see Him working. The price was $15,000 more than we expected to get and guess how much the construction job went over? Yup, $15,000. Now is that God at work or what!?! He is so awesome!!!
To answer your comment question...the project is coming to an end soon. Plumbing is done, now we wait for flooring and little 'stuff' to get done. Then hopefully they'll all be out of my house and my Dad will be in. = ) Thanks for asking. Have a blessed day! ~Kim~
