Meet Becky Miller!   She’s a young mom of three who is trying to fix everyone and everything in her life.  Becky and her husband, Kevin, have purchased a rundown farmhouse and dream of fixing it up for a slower, simpler life in the country for their family.  The repairs to the house, the disconnection with her husband, and the numerous challenges with the other people in her life continue to mount.

My Review

            As a young mom of two and happily married to a wonderful man, I instantly relate to Becky.   With Sharon Hinck having an intriguing start to each chapter which kept me turning the pages, I found a delightful read.  Becky has superwoman-syndrome at its greatest.  As she struggled to keep from adding to her already full plate and from comparing herself to others; I could see glimpses of myself in her.

            I was reminded of how we as wives and moms are continuously trying to juggle it all and we can struggle with finding balance.  In the midst of Becky’s striving to manage and maintain and fix it all, the Lord was really working on her.  It is His grace that is evident in our day to day lives.  And, it’s for us to realize  that the One who is really in control knows what He is doing.
