The Tomb

Several years ago the children and I made this tomb. Tomorrow, after placing a small figure inside (really just a folded piece of paper towel), we'll seal the tomb as the Centurion stands guard..

Sunday morning, the children rush to the tomb where they find the stone rolled away, the centurion on his face (asleep) with his sword cast aside, and the tomb empty!

The tomb is not to scale with the Centurion, and is showing the strain of a few years use, so perhaps next year we will make a new one.

I love this idea! Wish I had known about it sooner! See more confirmation that I should spend more times looking around on line :0).

Love the family picture.

How did you actually make this? I am very impressed. A brilliant way to portray the Easter story too.

I like the playmobil centurion, the rock tomb, the flowers... all of it.

You're so creative, Dell! I love visiting your website and getting new ideas. I love the tomb idea and also turning out the lights until Easter. What a great reminder.
